Circle Think retreats are immersive experiences on the land that invite participants into a living relationship with Circle. Through shared experience, participants learn to work with Circle as both a compass and a map for orientation.

Level I Training
Friday Evening, Sept 4th to Monday Sept. 7th at Noon
Join Marc in White Salmon, Oregon, for a weekend of ceremony, storytelling, community sharing, and solitary reflection.
You will be introduced to foundational practices for building a lifelong alliance with Circle, beginning with finding your true Center Point. Together, we will explore Circle as an animate intelligence, begin cultivating relationships with the directional energies and practice creating and working within sacred Circles.
Whether you are exploring Circle for yourself or wish to bring these practices into your work with others, this training offers a practical foundation grounded in Right to Be. We will share meals together. We will sit around a central fire. We will offer prayers in ceremony. We will listen deeply to one another.
Our time together will be in service to nurturing safety, well-being, and your capacity to evolve in conscious partnership with the deepest, most beautiful potential within you.
The Retreat Setting
Our gathering will be held in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge of the Pacific Northwest at the Forest Camp retreat space at Atlan Center. This rustic setting features a 30-foot yurt for our indoor gatherings, miles of forest trails and creek access, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, an open-air shower pavilion, and composting toilets.
There are abundant shaded campsites throughout the forest, along with a limited number of vehicle camping spaces. For those who prefer indoor accommodations or nearby hotel lodging, please contact us for additional information about available options.
Cost: $300 covers Cost covers camping space, meals and teacher transportation to Atlan. Tuition for the weekend will be on a gift basis.
The teacher’s contribution is not included in the registration fee and may be offered separately on a dana (a voluntary teacher’s gift) basis. Scholarships are available.

We’ll be together again for a four day singing retreat at Ghost Ranch in New Mexico September of 2026! The amazing Melanie DeMore, Terry Garthwaite, Kate Munger and Becky Reardon will lead us in song. Can’t wait to be together to sing beautiful songs in heartfelt community once more!

This non-residential training introduces the foundational practices of Circle Think. Together, we will engage these practices through direct experience, developing a living relationship with Circle.
We will begin by learning to recognize and listen to your own Center Point as it is experienced within the body. From there, we will cultivate alliances with the directional energies and practice working with Circle as both a compass and a map for orientation.
Whether you are exploring Circle for yourself or wish to bring these Circle’s perspective and wisdom into your work with others, this training offers a practical foundation. You’ll explore how Circle is living structure through which you can find orientation and gain insight into creative projects, relationships, and everyday life.
We will also learn how to create your own Circle as a sacred space for contemplative practice, using simple processes for gaining insight and supporting both personal and professional work.
Throughout the training, we will listen deeply to one another through community sharing, contemplative practice, and hands-on experiences. Dress warmly! Weather permitting, we hope to spend time practicing outdoors with our feet on the Earth.

In Norse mythology, the Norns wove the threads of destiny beneath the branches of Yggdrasil, watering the great Tree of Life. Over this weekend, we will work with this imagery, exploring what those threads might mean for us today as we water our own roots and deepen our connection with our ancient relations.
Through a series of contemplative practices, you will become a Tree of Life, emerging from your essence and rooting deeply into the love and strength of the Earth. From this living center, we will explore continuity with ancestry, landscape, community, meaningful work, the seasons, and future generations.
Together, we will share our stories, create images, and support one another in discovering a deeper sense of continuity and coherence. We will explore how rootedness and belonging become living sources of strength, orientation, and gratitude.
Friday evening will begin with a potluck dinner, followed by our first meditation session. On Sunday morning, weather permitting, we will visit nearby standing stones as part of our practice.
Everyone is welcome, though participation is limited to twelve people. This workshop includes meditation practices of thirty to forty-five minutes. If sitting meditation for that length of time is not comfortable, you are invited to participate through drawing, quiet reflection, or whatever form of practice feels most supportive.
Our time together will be in service to nurturing safety, well-being, and your capacity to live in deeper continuity with the deepest, most beautiful potential that is rooted in your relationships with Earth, ancestry, and the living world.
Registration: 250 Euros includes the organizational and facility expenses, and two lunches and simple dinners on Friday and Saturday.
